Grant Enfinger Snaps 40-Race Winless Streak at Lime Rock Park

Saturday’s Liuna 150 at Lime Rock Park felt like a demolition derby as the 100-lap race was filled with large wrecks that took out several contenders and leaders throughout the race. Grant Enfinger outlasted each wreck and found himself in a spot to win the race with under five laps to go.

A late-race caution helped Enfinger hold the lead, he was able to hold of Landon Lewis in the No. 45 who was giving a solid fight. Both drivers showed respect to each other, raced hard and clean and finished in the top two spots.

Enfinger’s last win came at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2024, 40 races ago. The No. 9 CR7 Motorsports team entered the Liuna 150 outside of the top ten in the Craftsman Truck Series point standings, after the race, the Chevrolet team finds themselves in P9 in a playoff spot.

Lime Rock Park was not friendly to many trucks, names such as Layne Riggs, Stewart Friesen, Thomas Annunziata, Corey Lajoie, Cole Butcher, and many others were involved in an incident at some point in the race.

Riggs held a valuable points lead on Kaden Honeycutt before today’s race and with his incident at Lime Rock, the lead has shrunk to 44 points.

Thomas Annunziata’s race did not end well after a strong start. His truck bursted into flames as the field was running pace-laps under caution from second place. Annunziata exited his truck and went to the infield care center, it was later to find out he would be transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Today’s truck race was a 100-lap event, almost 40% of the race was run under caution with 39 pace-laps.

The Craftsman Truck Series did not fail to provide a show at Lime Rock Park, to catch the next race tune into FS1 next week, Saturday, July 18th at 12:30pm for a battle at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
